  Went into Proposals this weekend. Admittedly we did not have an appointment. We just wanted to have a look at the styles on offer. We were met at the door by the shop assistant with much huffing and puffing after revealing that we have an appointment. Between the reems of fabric and chiffon was a poor girl stood on a plimf gazing into her reflection..... it clearly wasn’t a Cinderella moment for her. After pointing out a number of generic dresses, we were steared back towards the cluttered front desk where a packet of half opened Orbit Complete lay next to her Bic biro and diary. I just can’t understand where the snobbyness come from. At the end of the day the shop the same as any other retailer setting pieces of fabric stiched together. The whole experience was uncomfortable to say the least and I will certainly not be giving my custom to someone with such an attitude.
